Florida Guaranteed Transfer Admission Programs

Florida's 2+2 Statewide Articulation Agreement guarantees admission to the State University System for any student who completes an Associate of Arts at a Florida College System institution. The catch: you're guaranteed a spot SOMEWHERE in the SUS, not at UF or FSU specifically.

Florida 2+2 Statewide Articulation

2+2 AA
System-wide guarantee
Sponsoring CCs: All 28 Florida College System institutions
Target schools & minimum GPA
Any of 12 State University System schools (UF, FSU, UCF, USF, FIU, FAU, UNF, UWF, FAMU, FGCU, NCF, FPU)
Min GPA: 2.0
UF and FSU remain selective; "limited access" programs require 3.0–3.5+ and separate applications
Course requirements
Complete an AA from an FCS institution: 36 credits of gen-ed per the state common core + the "Gordon Rule" (2 writing courses with 6,000 words + 2 math courses at college algebra or higher).
Deadlines
Vary by SUS institution. Limited-access programs (nursing, engineering, most business) have specific earlier deadlines.
Watch out: The guarantee is to the SUS, not to UF or FSU. Both admit transfers competitively and have many "limited access" programs (nursing, engineering, business) with separate applications and higher cutoffs.
Open to in-state and (in some cases) out-of-state community college students
