North Carolina Guaranteed Transfer Admission Programs

NC has the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) plus the Transfer Assured Admissions Policy (TAAP). TAAP guarantees admission to one of the 16 UNC universities for any NC CC student who finishes an AA/AS with a 2.0 — but UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State are NOT bound by TAAP and remain selective.

Data last reviewed: 2026-04-17. Confirm current terms with the official program page before making decisions — transfer policies shift annually.

UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State are NOT bound by TAAP — they admit transfers competitively with 3.5–3.8+ GPA typical
